The competition among restaurants in San Francisco is so fierce that anyone braving to open a new one better have an exceptional idea. Matt Semmelhack, owner of AQ, came up with his very own winning recipe: “seasonal.” Huge seasonal plants and flowers create the ambience of winter, spring, summer, or fall in his lofty red brick wall interior. The menu experiments with the fresh ingredients from local markets, creating delicious Californian dishes with a gentle French touch.
