Local before arrival
This café is one of the oldest of the city and has always been a center of attraction for residents and visitors alike. One of the most famous guests must have been Goethe, but Liszt, Bizet, and Stendhal were also here to be served coffee by waiters in tails. Because of its history and its interior, the café was declared a “monument of historic and national interest” by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. Over 300 paintings adorn the walls.
