Humid tropical temperatures prevail in the largest greenhouse complex at the Botanical Garden, where succulent plants with cicadas and ferns that do not thrive in cooler climes grow across an expansive space. Habitats ranging from desert to rainforest are tucked away in the listed glass building, which is up to 42 feet high. Strolling through the opulent cactus, subtropical, and tropical forests is like a small safari tour, and is especially inviting in cold weather.
