A little outside the city centre, one of Zurich’s landmarks sits enthroned on the Dolderberg, surrounded by lush greenery. In 2008, star architect Sir Norman Foster turned the aging grand hotel into an avant-garde city resort. Two boldly curved, modern wings flank the 1899 palace building. The organically shaped spa wing houses a 43,000 sq. ft. high-tech spa landscape, built after a concept by spa expert Sylvia Sepielli.
