Not one of the other 6,000 species on display comes close to being as famous: The panda bear is the indisputable star and pride of the Shanghai Zoo. Because of this, many paths lead past the black-and-white bamboo eater’s enclosure. There are also tigers, chimpanzees, and kangaroos to amaze zoo-goers. A spacious expanse of 25 acres means that a visit to the zoo can pleasantly transform into a stroll through the park. The metro line 10 conveniently stops directly in front of the entrance.
