Completed in 1993, this Herzog & de Meuron-designed building allows Ingvild Goetz to make her extensive collection of contemporary art available to the public. The simple cubical body consists of two sections of frosted glass and birchwood, layered on top of each other in mirror fashion. The main exhibition space is in the basement; three additional smaller exhibitions rooms are located on the upper level. Evenly diffused daylight creates the ideal environment to enjoy the artwork.
