Restaurant Florian is a West Berlin fixture. Ute Gilow and Gerti Hofmann serve traditional German fare at comfortable tables with white tablecloths—in the summer, on the patio too. The dishes are simple and unpretentious, delicately prepared, and, above all else, always fresh. The same applies to the selection of wines—superb but not fancy. Old-school Berliners as well as film and theater people have been coming and going—and taking in the neighborhood warmth—here for 30 years.
