Built between 1875 and 1880, this handsome neo-Renaissance building is where Munich’s upper crust once held their society balls. The classic hotel has been here since 1990, offering its clientele (still well-to-do) such amenities as the award-winning restaurant Mark’s and a rooftop terrace with swimming pool, but most of all—as one guest put it—“the natural way you are treated like a king here and at the same time like a friend.”
