Jojo Hartanto worked at La Mano Verde, among others, before she opened her own vegan restaurant. The Lucky Leek pairs classic Italian dishes, such as pasta and polenta, with sauces made of miso, shitake mushrooms, and other exotic ingredients. The desserts include chocolate coconut mousse with blackberry tart, banana ice cream, or orange truffles. They all taste so delicious you’d never guess they were made without milk or eggs.
