Those who manage to reserve one of the coveted seats in the restaurant of the half-French Dienstbach twin sisters, Jennifer and Nathalie, will be astonished as soon as they enter the restaurant. One finds oneself almost unexpectedly in the atmosphere of a film set that reminds one of the second part of “The Fabulous World of Amélie” and resembles a visual hors d’oeuvre. Every shelf and corner is decorated with nostalgic details, as if in an oversized type case. A life-sized photo of the French aunt “Simone,” who also provided the inspiration for the restaurant, is emblazoned on a long wooden panel. Jennifer—who trained at the Institute Paul Bocuse—manages the restaurant. Head chef Nathalie Dienstbach learned her trade in the triple Michelin-starred “Schwarzwaldstube” of the Tonbach bunch. A true masterpiece is the proverbial “Creme Fraîche auf der Quiche.” In this sense: “Bon appetit!”
