The terrace here is the perfect spot for a romantic, candlelit dinner along the water. Simply sitting along the canals, which belong to the expansive system designed by Leonardo da Vinci, is calming. Unfortunately, over the course of the centuries, most were blocked, much to the dismay of washerwomen who frequented this spot from the 17th century up until the ’50s. Head chef Alessandro Rimoldi offers traditional Lombard specialties like ossobuco with saffron risotto.
