Local before arrival
Elfriedes Witwenball—this was the name of the dance hall, where ladies who were unaccompanied by a gentleman could dance to their heart’s content. The current owners are pursuing a decidedly more contemporary concept with their stylish and comfortable wine restaurant: The 150 wines come primarily from young German wine makers, the changing menu is both regional and seasonal and the coffee is roasted in Hamburg. Wine makers visit on a regular basis to introduce their wines.
