Local before arrival
The neo-Gothic battlements of Speicherstadt are visible from far and wide, projecting into the Hamburg sky. Erected between 1885 and 1927, it was then a highly modern logistics center and is the largest collective warehouse complex in the world even today. If you would like to learn more, taking one of the many tours is recommended. Also, an evening stroll can be spectacular when the lowering sun illuminates the red of the bricks.
