Local before arrival
The boulevard, which is just over two miles long, runs all around the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain. It is lined with hotels, restaurants, cafés, apartment blocks, and innumerable palms trees. For walkers, this is one of the few places in the city where you can explore the surrounding area on foot. You can appreciate the dimensions of the area by taking a look at the model at the Emaar Pavilion (the property company behind the 20-billion-dollar redevelopment of Downtown Dubai).
