Local before arrival
Like an anarchist memorial, the Rote Flora emblazons the trendy pubs of the spruced up streets with proud seediness. This building, still occupied today, is a remainder from the years when the subculture flourished behind the crumbling façades. Now, the Schulterblatt with its renovated old buildings, small boutiques, cafés, and bars is once again what it was in the 19th century, a popular shopping and dining area.
