Local before arrival
Reopened in April 2013, the Rijksmuseum is the pride of Amsterdam. The extensive restoration brought back the original beauty of the building with its classic murals. Who wouldn’t want to admire the old and new home of Rembrandt, Vermeer, and all the other Dutch masters? Admission is free to everyone under the age of 18 as a way to help get younger generations excited about art.
