She came, she stayed. As Anika was looking for a place to study in Munich, it was the mountains that drew her in. Then, she fell so in love in the Bavarian capital that she simply stayed. The 30 year old works as a buying agent for the Space Applications Company at the German Aerospace Center. Although her job has to do weightlessness, in her free time, this ardent biker puts more worth on heavy machinery.

Munich is an international surfing hot spot! The Eisbach wave in the English Garden attracts surfers from all over the world. These famous rapids can be found in the otherwise unassuming river directly behind the Eisbachbrücke. Anika enjoys spending time here, watching people riding the waves.

Anika zooms past the BMW Welt The futuristic complex in the Olympiapark houses the experience and delivery center of the brand, as well as the Munich BMW factory and a museum. Events like motorcycle shows or factory tours attract automotive enthusiasts and bikers alike. Guests can even satisfy their hunger in the restaurant or beer garden.

Anika drives along the stately Ludwigstraße towards Odeonsplatz. With the Theatinerkirche built in the Italian late-Baroque style and the Feldherrnhalle, built in the same style as the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence, Munich seems especially Italian in this area. Don’t forget to dismount behind Odeonsplatz! That‘s where the pedestrian zone starts.
