ORTO BOTANICO DI BRERA
PHOTOS MAPS

The botanical garden, established in 1774 and restored in 1998, belongs to Milan University. But non-students are also invited to enjoy a stroll around the flowerbeds and fountains—admission is free. Among other things, there are a vegetable garden and various medicinal plants to be discovered, as well as two ginkgo trees, which by the way are some of the oldest in Europe. The adjoining astronomical museum is also worth a visit.
