Local before arrival
The Waterlooplein is one of Amsterdam's liveliest squares and best-known flea markets. Curiosity seekers will find everything here, from kitsch to art. The hotel has assembled a cool mix of young "recycling art" and allusions to Dutch painting, an homage to regional artists and the Old Masters. The central location is right in the middle of the scenic grachts, directly behind the Rembrandt House, which is now a museum. The Master himself would have certainly felt at home here in cozy box spring beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
