Local before arrival
After the October Revolution, this became the port of call for exiled Russians in “Charlottengrad” and a favorite bar of Robert Koch. Fine dining is served in the winter garden, and the drinking of beer is a philosophical concept here. Introductory courses in brewing and tapping and all records in the world of beer are in focus. An official part of the name is “House of 100 Beers,” which is an understatement, seeing as how there are 100 bottled brews and 15 on tap. This is a popular meeting place for actors after theater premiers and was also the backdrop in the acclaimed doctor series “Praxis Bülowbogen.” Meatballs with potato salad are called “Pferdeapfel auf Heu” here.
