The beef brisket is cured, smoked, and marinated for four weeks before it is layered between two slices of white bread, arranged on a wooden board, and served as a pastrami sandwich. In comparison, turning the restaurant named after a Chicago mobster into a hotspot seemed to involve far less effort: Even before it opened, curious guests were already peering through the front window. The restaurant and people are relaxed, the bar well worth seeing—reservations recommended!
