Local before arrival
Once upon a time at 10 Langstrasse you would have found popular cafe Your Mother – that is until owner Angel Liu discovered a gap in the Zurich culinary market. Chinese-born but a long-time resident of Switzerland, Angel saw an opportunity to combine Sino and Swiss gastronomy in a proper dumpling, and Lucky Dumpling was born. The atmosphere is cosy, the dumplings are fresh (you can watch them being prepared), and the fillings are made from regionally-sourced ingredients. This food is more than the sum of its parts: dumpling aficionados will feel like they’ve come home, while those with less affection for these doughy delicacies will still find something to love.
