LIBRARY HOTEL
PHOTOS MAPS

The luxurious boutique hotel Library is located in a renovated pre-war Art Deco building, just one block from Grand Central Station. It delivers on what the name promises: A calm, quiet, sophisticated environment, regal, but not kitschy. All of the ten guest floors are dedicated to the classifications defined in Dewey’s Decimal System: From psychology to history, languages to math. All the rooms are devoted to a theme within one of these sciences. It’s not exactly cheap to stay at the Library, but the hotel offers amenities like a free European-style breakfast, a selection of coffee, tea, juices, cookies and fruits, wines and cheeses, with hors d'oeuvres each evening from 5 pm to 8 pm. Don’t neglect to visit the rooftop bar Bookmarks.
