Once the residence of the iconic banker Moreira Salles, now a cultural institution with a significant archive of photography, music, literature, and art. The Burle Marx-designed gardens, located in the middle of the structure, regularly hosts cinema and events, sometimes even for children. Within, there are more than 800,000 photos documenting the urban transformation of Rio. There is also a café, a gift shop, and a bookstore on-site. The online radio station Batuta also finds refuge here, giving guests the chance to hear Brazilian music or documentaries from home.
