DEUTSCHES MUSEUM
PHOTOS MAPS

One of the world’s most famous science museums stands on what used to be called Coal Island. It was founded by Oskar von Miller in 1903 as the “German Association Museum of Masterpieces of Science and Technology.” About one fourth of the collection of some 100,000 objects is displayed in the exhibits. Special highlights include the Wright Brothers’ first motorized flying machine and the first programmable computer.
