In the popular area around the Leidseplein, De Balie has been a meeting place for contemporary art, literary readings, open discussions, and unconventional ideas for over three decades. Between hot debates and cool words, participants can relax at the Grand Café and fortify themselves with dishes from around the world. Everyone is welcome at De Balie; participation is not mandatory.
