There is nothing unusual about the exterior of this small café. The vintage look so popular in the Kreuzkölln district dominates the furnishings here as well. But it’s in the oven where the real magic happens: freshly baked cakes, kanelbullar (Swedish cinnamon rolls with vanilla, cardamom, and marzipan), and bread. They provide the basis for homemade smörrebröds, a hearty snack from Denmark. Lettuce, pâté, cheese, fruit, and other delicacies are piled so high on the sandwiches that you’ll find it hard to know where to begin.
