This building was designed by former Bauhaus director Walter Gropius and built between 1976–1979. Its distinctive silhouette has made it a Berlin landmark. With an extensive permanent collection and numerous temporary exhibitions, the archive and museum make an important contribution to research and the presentation of the history and impact of the architecture, design and art of Bauhaus, its students and its descendants.
