Located within a stone’s throw of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Altmann & Kühne is a typical slice of Vienna behind an unassuming façade: This confectionery has been selling uniquely packaged homemade miniature sweets for over a century. In this small space in Wiener Werkstätte décor, cherry wood shelves are filled with beautiful boxes shaped like hearts, books, dressers, and hat boxes. Even once the contents have been consumed, the boxes are a beautiful and sweet keepsake.
