Local before arrival
The famous “inflatable boat” in Fröttmaning was built in just three years based on a design by Herzog & de Meuron. It is home to two soccer clubs: FC Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 Munich. Its membrane shell consisting of 2,760 white, red, and blue air cushions that can be illuminated is the largest of its kind in the world. Seven levels provide covered seating for 69,901 spectators and house restaurants, the FC Bayern Megastore, two daycare centers, and LEGO World.
